The Department of Romance and Classical Studies at Michigan State University is seeking a full-time Assistant Professor of French beginning August 16, 2017. This is a nine-month, academic year position. Duties will include teaching three courses per semester in French language, culture and literature at the third- and fourth-year levels.

PhD in the contemporary literature of France.
Ability to teach advanced language, culture and literature classes, including an introduction to French literature, French studies, and a special topics class.
A demonstrated record of excellence in teaching and in research is preferred.
