The College of Engineering is seeking a Director of Strategic Engagement. This is a full-time 1.0 FTE, 12-month, fixed term professional faculty position. Reappointment is at the discretion of the Dean.
The Oregon State University College of Engineering is seeking a Director of Strategic Engagement. The Director of Strategic Engagement will be an experienced leader and enthusiastic advocate for College of Engineering and OSU who will inspire and guide colleagues and volunteers to fulfill the organizational mission, and whose work is guided by a comprehensive strategy for moving stakeholders through phases of engagement that result in donor support. This includes growing/enhancing existing signature events such as the College's premier event, the Oregon Stater Awards, and regional engagement activities as appropriate for core audiences (alumni, donors, constituents and friends). The Director is a key member of the strategic partnerships team charged with development, cultivation, and continuing refinement of engagement initiatives and programs.
In addition, the Director will collaborate with colleagues at the OSU Foundation, OSU Alumni Association, Career Development Center, CoE marketing and other units to develop a unified approach to engage alumni, students and other external stakeholders. The Director will also have the opportunity to develop new programs and services to meet the changing needs of alumni, targeting audiences identified as priorities for the College of Engineering Leadership.
Minimum Qualifications (Staff) / Guidelines (Faculty):
Typically requires Master's degree in field related to work assigned. Experience developing and engaging in strategic partnerships with internal and external stakeholders.
Master's degree in relevant area AND five years of substantial experience providing leadership in implementing and managing strategic relationships for higher education or in a nonprofit, foundation or government setting; OR,
Baccalaureate degree in relevant area AND ten years of substantial experience providing leadership in implementing and managing strategic relationships for higher education or in a nonprofit, foundation or government setting.
Excellent interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to create strong professional relationships.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

This position is designated as a critical or security-sensitive position; therefore, the incumbent must successfully complete a Criminal History Check and be determined to be position qualified as per OSU STANDARD 576-055-0000 et seq. Incumbents are required to self-report convictions and those in Youth Programs may have additional Criminal History Checks every 24 months. Offers of employment are contingent upon meeting all minimum qualifications including the Criminal History Check Requirement.

Salary (Minimum): $81,168
Salary (Maximum): $142,104
Additional Salary Information: Salary is commensurate with education and experience.
