Will act as the lead marketing & sales staff member that promotes the university’s programs, scholarships and services. Will support the enrollment efforts of the University by providing admissions information to prospective or newly admitted students, and by representing the university in the community at-large. Will provide assistance in the implementation, maintenance, and updating of the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system. Engages and partners with high school personnel and advisors in promoting St. Thomas University.
CHARACTERISTIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Assist in development, implementation, and marketing of recruitment programs to recruit prospective undergraduate and transfer students for the University.
Manage a geomarket/recruitment territory by actively traveling to local and/or out-of-state high schools and/or two year colleges to provide advising admission services and meet with counselors, parents and prospective students, coordinate alumni-admission functions, attend college fairs, and maintain regular contact with prospects, applicants and counselors.
Actively participates in all recruiting related activities and engages in cross functional projects.
Manage full cycle recruitment process of their assigned territories from inquiry to enrollment.
Create and implement marketing strategies to attract students.
Conduct on-the-spot admissions, renders admissions decisions and allocates institutional scholarships appropriately.
Develop and implements strategic initiative for recruiting a diverse class.
Meet assigned enrollment territorial goals from applications to enrollment.
Develop and implement search strategies to assist in building a stronger prospect pool.
Works with Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software to ensure student data and system integrity; runs imports/exports, population selections and batch processes in support of maintaining data integrity and analysis
Identify, troubleshoot and resolve issues that arise within the CRM
Provide assistance and back-up for appropriate uploading, exporting, importing, and providing data information generated from the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) program
Facilitate meetings, workshops and special events to promote the University's academic, admissions, and financial aid programs. Provides financial aid information that supports the student enrollment at the university.
Assist with the promotion and marketing of the university's programs to the local community, as well as the general public through visits to private businesses, local government agencies, and attendance at Career Days and College Fairs.
Conduct dynamic presentations and effectively answer questions about admission, application requirements, and processes. Must be extremely well versed in all programs, services and scholarships.
Provide admission counseling and information sessions with visiting students and families, in person and in group settings, and by telephone, correspondence, and e-mail. Aid in public relations and general recruitment programs. Regularly follows up with prospective students and parents.
Evaluate undergraduate and graduate student admissions applications and related credentials in order to determine eligibility and render an admissions decision.
Collaborate with other University personnel and areas to organize on-campus admissions events, such as workshops and campus tours.
Provide career and academic counseling to prospective students; assists students in completion of various University applications and forms.
Collect and analyze recruitment data; prepare weekly status reports of all activities, and maintain records and statistical information. Track and report key metrics designed to measure and predict progress.
Provide end-of-year report that measures success, challenges and opportunities.
Perform administrative support tasks, including composing and editing correspondence, reports, program handbooks and other publications.
May supervise and assign work to support staff engaged in implementation and administration of program objectives.
Keep abreast of current developments in international student practices and issues through professional seminars and associations.
Identify and share opportunities to improve university processes and the student experience.
Coordinate, attend and participate in recruitment events on and off campus such as career nights, Open Houses, Counselor Reception and Accepted Student Welcome Dinner.
Assist with increasing the flow of communication with international students related to inquiries, qualified leads, applicants and admitted students.
Review website periodically to ensure admissions information is up-to-date and engaging.
This position operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and assorted office equipment/machines. Flexible work schedule required; overnight travel, evening and weekend work required.
