Posting Summary: The Assistant Dean, Academic Support is a full-time position that will provide high level support to the Department and School of Architecture. This position will coordinate the Department of Architecture's admissions and recruiting processes, provide curricular and program accreditation support for the school, and maintain the school's graphic archive and special projects. Additionally, this position will support the teaching and administrative requirements of the fabrications facilities, and teach course(s) as assigned.
This position is critical for the school to reach its enrollment and accreditation goals and will work closely with the Dean, Associate Dean for Academics and Architecture Graduate Program Director. The successful candidate must have a strong understanding of admissions processes and accreditation requirements. S/he must also have a strong working knowledge of fabrications technology and visual communications.
This critical position must be filled quickly, so the search process will move quickly and it is expected that the successful candidate will start as soon as possible.

Required Specific Experience: Some experience working in the design discipline with a preference for 3+ years of experience
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: - Knowledge of principles and issues in a specified student academic program. - Ability to interact with faculty, students, and program representatives in a highly professional manner, with an understanding of protocol and confidentiality. - Ability to work independently or as part of a team, or to provide direct administrative support, as needed. - Proficient in computer applications with working knowledge of various database and software programs and ability to use tools to craft reports, as needed.
