The Director of Student Support and TRIO Programs is responsible for the organization, planning, implementation, continuous review, and analysis of the College’s student support services and TRiO programs. The Director provides academic leadership, serves as an integral member of the Student Affairs team, and works closely with the Dean of Student Success and Engagement, the Program
Director of Student Engagement and Leadership, Program Director of the Wellness Center, and Program Director of Disability Support Services to develop a comprehensive set of programs and services to increase student engagement and success.
- Master’s degree in education, education administration, educational leadership, counseling, social science discipline or a related area is required.
- Three years of experience in program administration, staff supervision, program evaluation, and budget management required.
- Previous experience working in an educational program with first-generation, low-income students and their families is required.
- Must have supervised personnel and administered programs directly related to the professional area for a minimum of three years.

- Supervise the awarding process of all grant programs while administering and managing all grant budgets to ensure validity and accuracy of student eligibility.
- Manage and oversee timely implementation of strategies to achieve all program goals and objectives.
- Minimum of three years supervising personnel related to grants and support services.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and implement programs that promote student success and engagement, especially for students who are academically and/or economically disadvantaged, as well as students with disabilities, veterans, and other special populations.
- Develop and coordinate in-service training for staff to provide a student-centered, customer-oriented environment for delivery of programs and services to a diverse community of students.
- Ability to effectively present information to groups of administrators, faculty, student, and the community.
- Ability to read, collect, analyze, and interpret data and define problems for the purposes of reporting and assessing while maintaining confidentiality.
- Ability to work in a multi-cultural environment with students, faculty and staff.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills (verbal and written).
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Access).
