The Department of Medicine has an outstanding opportunity for a full-time Fiscal Technician 3. This position will support the Department of Medicine Finance Office by performing a variety of administrative and accounting transactions related to the daily functions of the Finance office, including payroll, accounts receivable, accounts payable, budget reconciliations, financial reporting, and other support duties under the supervision of the Director of Finance.
Duties will include:
Support upper level Finance staff
Assist payroll personnel with their duties, recording hours worked, leave time and other functions such as updated internal databases to track appointments, compensation and pay
Keep fiscal records up to date and inform upper level financial staff of the status of each budget/account
Initiate purchases, expense reimbursements and other fiscal related transactions such as processing of journal vouchers
Reconcile financial records and systems and correct errors as appropriate
Learn and enforce university and departmental policies and procedures, ensure and track compliance with those policies
Streamline fiscal processes and reports where possible
Perform related duties as required.

High school diploma, or GED certificate AND fifteen quarter hours or ten semester hours of college- level accounting or bookkeeping AND two years of full-time experience as a Fiscal Technician, or equivalent, including experience using accounting-related software; An Associate of Arts Degree, or equivalent, in accounting or business may substitute for one year of required experience.
Equivalent education/experience will substitute for all minimum qualifications except when there are legal requirements, such as a license/certification/registration.
