City Tech is accepting resumes for an ASAP Career Employment Specialist.In addition to the CUNY Titile Overview, the ASAP Career Employment Specialist will: * Serves as a resource to students and their advisors in regard to development of professional skills and career and internship opportunities * Coordinates career focused events such as career/industry panels and networking opportunities through partnership with student organizations, community partners, faculty and administrators * Monitors student progress toward ASAP career benchmarks * Assists in general ASAP events planning * Develops and maintains resources related to career exploration and preparation for use by ASAP advisors with students * Creates centralized web based resources to assist faculty and students in identifying internships, careers, and resources. * Develops and maintain an inventory of "College to Career" activities held by the departments and student clubs * Serves as a Career Services liaison with the departments and internship coordinators * Assists with maintaining/updating social media updates and feeds * Represents City Tech at ASAP Career Employment Specialist meetingsQUALIFICATIONSBachelor's degree (master's preferred) in an appropriate discipline and four years related experience. The ideal candidate will have: * Experience working in the field of career development, ideally in college settings * Significant knowledge of local employment resources and ability to match students' needs and skills to appropriate employment * Demonstrated ability to work both independently and as part of a team * Willingness to work evenings and weekends as needed * Strong organization, project management and facilitation skills * Ability to enter, monitor and interpret student data accurately * Excellent written and oral communication skills * Strong computer skills (Microsoft Office required) and aptitude to learn new systemsCUNY TITLE OVERVIEWASAP helps students earn their college degree as quickly as possible, by removing the financial, academic, and personal obstacles that many students confront.
