Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
This position will develop a stream of industrial partnerships in the form of joint R&D, innovation, and/or service projects. These projects will require efficient, effective coordination among university and industrial partners. This position will maintain and strengthen relationships with existing business partners and continue to identify opportunities for new alliances. This position will establish and lead the DSI Partners program, a membership-based program for engaging industry partners in interaction with DSI students and researchers.
Develop opportunities for R&D projects with industry, government, and non-profit organizations.
Establish partnerships with potential companies in various industries.
Collaborate with DSBA and HI program directors to promote the programs with companies and help with identifying internship opportunities for students and group research projects.
Manage and strengthen existing industry partnerships to ensure a high retention rate, and profitable and beneficial outcomes for all parties.
Identify ways to gain access to high profile stakeholders for partnership and R&D opportunities.
Help the DSI marketing and events director/coordinator to organize and promote DSI events.
Minimum Experience / Education:
A Master’s degree (or bachelor’s with equivalent experience) in business, communications, management, computing or a closely related field with 5+ years' experience in developing partnerships and business development.

Experience in developing and maintaining effective partnerships between businesses and universities.
Experience in business development.

Experience in managing and evaluating partnerships
Understanding challenges of building and maintaining partnerships
Polished communication skills, both verbal and written
