As a member of the division of Psychiatric Neuroimaging, the Research Assistant will assist research coordinators and principal investigators with all aspects of the implementation and execution of research MRI protocols
Duties and Responsibilities:
The research assistant will assist research coordinators in the division with the preparation and execution of study participant visits that involve MRI scans. The Research Assistant will assist MRI technicians in the acquisition of structural and functional MRI scans and be responsible for the transfer, storage and cataloging of imaging data. Responsible for pre- and post-processing of MRI data and assist with structural and functional image analyses. Design and program in and out-of-scanner paradigms.
Assist with data management, including design, creation and management of complex longitudinal study databases and electronic participant records. Independently conduct statistical analyses and prepare the data for publications, presentations or policy development. Assist in the preparation of materials for presentation, posters, and manuscripts. Assist in the preparation of reports for the funding agency, the IRB or the FDA. Assist with the archival, storage and backup of electronic study data for a number of studies in the division. Assist in the maintenance of the divisional web pages, a secure-access intranet, and relational databases for data storage and manipulation.
Must be able to work both independently with modest direction and as part of a team. Must be able to problem solve, prioritize responsibilities, and manage several tasks at once. Must have excellent organizational and interpersonal skills and must have particularly excellent attention to detail and record keeping. Ability to interact well with collaborators, study subjects and staff. Excellent verbal and written communication skills required.
