The Community Program Manager is primarily responsible for developing external strategies for targeted outreach and advocacy to specified audiences to enhance Optums goals and initiatives throughout Idahos health care system.
Work involves developing and participating in community engagement activities, which could include strategic planning efforts, public speaking and research and outreach to determine market needs. Additional job responsibilities include networking with community agencies and developing outreach contacts in support of the organizations goals; participating in community groups and / or advisory councils; accepting public speaking requests regarding program services and / or available community services and meeting with State Department representatives to fulfill mutual goals. Work also involves leading cross - departmental internal efforts to address gaps and opportunities, staff meetings and writing, editing and presenting community reports.
Develop, lead and manage targeted population outreach program strategies including evaluating available programs and creating new community - based programs, partnerships, and other engagement initiatives
Identify, initiate, and strengthen relationships with targeted community stakeholders
Develop and lead two - way communications efforts through meetings, surveys, written communications etc. in order to receive feedback and information from the community about the IBHP and Optum initiatives so improvements can be identified and executed upon
Attend community meetings on behalf of Optum to listen and provide and / or present information about initiatives, and advocate for support
Attend community - based events relevant to community interests and activities
Develop and maintain various databases of groups of stakeholders for targeted outreach purposes
Write and edit community - based reports regarding relevant program information and data to enhance IBHPs membership, services and goals
Distribute information to the community and broader publics through multiple channels
Distribute information to Optum staff and community regarding engagement activities
Work with internal cross - functional divisions to address identified gaps and opportunities
Provide relevant informational updates on the Optum Idaho website regarding local, regional and national efforts to enhance the behavioral health care system.
