Posting Summary: University Advancement is seeks an ambitious and forward-thinking Technology and Business Services Coordinator to support a high-energy, high-performing organization of nearly 200 employees which is currently embarking on a multi-billion-dollar capital campaign for UVA.
This position provides an excellent entry level career opportunity for a naturally curious, creative, out-of-the-box customer service specialist with an eye for excellence. Candidates for this role would demonstrate the ability to perform well with mix of technology support responsibilities and in-person customer service, including participating in the orientation and onboarding process of new employees. The Technology and Business Services Coordinator will work directly and seamlessly with staff of all skills and levels of responsibility by providing 1:1 technical training support, provisioning, account management and support for mobile devices, support for conference room AV equipment, all phone systems, and division-wide printers. He/she will maintain device inventories and possess the business skills necessary to build and maintain strong relationships with corporate vendors and University partners. This role works as a liaison to ITS Desktop Support, should understand purchasing, inventory, imaging and provisioning equipment. Experience supporting Apple products and Macbooks is preferred. Additionally, the incumbent must have excellent interpersonal skills and be comfortable providing in-person technology orientations for new employees. The position would serve as backup to the Building Manager and be an integral participant in the coordination of moving University Advancement and University Communications from Fontaine/Piedmont Center buildings to Old Ivy road in 2018.
Excellent communication and organizational skills, a demonstrable good business sense, and a thirst for continuous improvement are required. Incumbent must have a positive attitude and approach to addressing major and minor customer service issues, and the ability to work well in a fast paced team environment.
University Advancement is currently located in the Fontaine Research Park.
