The University of Tennessee Foundation (UTFI) is seeking an Advancement Assistant I for the University of Tennessee, Martin campus. This position reports to the Director for Advancement Services and supports the Office of Advancement Services as the main contact for the external community through answering phone lines and fielding emails. This position will lead in maintaining the donor database by updating alumni/donor information, creating new records, adding scholarship recipient information, and updating committees, mailing lists, student activities, etc. Additional tasks include preparing letter correspondence, gift acknowledgements, and management and upkeep of office equipment and supplies.
A high school diploma with a minimum of three years of professional experience in dealing with the public is required. Experience working with students and faculty/staff in a university setting is preferred.
This position requires a professional appearance and demeanor. Excellent oral and written communications, ability to multi-task, ability to meet strict deadlines, and proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel are required. Proficiency in ANDI database management and IRIS system preferred.
