* To provide legal and transactional support relating to Supply Chain Financing, Vendor Pre-pay agreements and Receivables Purchase to the Trade deal teams within Transaction Banking globally. * As such transactions are often cross border or multi-jurisdictional in nature, to be able to identify and address cross-border issues. * To advise on regulatory issues and on industry rules such as UCP, ISP, URDG. * To identify and ensure compliance with internal policies and dispensation procedures.
Key Roles and Responsibilities
* Responsible for legal advice and transactional support to deal teams in Transaction Banking. * Working closely with the various internal stakeholders including the Relationship, Sales, Credit, Product, Trade Operations teams. * The candidate must be able to effectively manage a challenging and changing portfolio of clients and bring the technical lens of Trade and legal knowledge to provide fit for purpose legal solutions.
Qualifications and Skills
* English/Common Law qualified lawyer with at least 8 years PQE * Experience in supply chain financing/receivables finance/trade finance /trade credit insurance. * Experience in cross border financing transactions and negotiations. * Knowledge of industry rules (such as UCP 600, ISP and URDG). * Familiarity with banking regulations. * Experience in various trade finance products such as and supply chain finance and receivables purchase * Excellent communication skills - written and verbal. * Strong analytical and problem solving abilities. * Good team player with ability to work independently. * Great organizational skills. * High attention to detail. * Willingness to learn.
