Advertised Summary Job Description: The Neurological Intensive Care Unit is seeking an individual for the position of Clinical Research Coordinator who will work in conjunction with and under the direct supervision of the Clinical Research Director and in collaboration with the other Neuro ICU research coordinators. The Clinical Research Coordinator will maintain detailed study files and complete paper and electronic case report forms in a timely manner, ensure data quality, participate in site evaluation and site initiation visits, monitoring visits. S/he will ensure integrity and compliance with all regulatory, institutional, and departmental requirements. This position has access to confidential information and abides by established guidelines regarding dissemination of information. Responsibilities require excellent communication, data management and entry, and database skills. The ability to be flexible with scheduling is mandatory; neurocritical care studies requires the applicant to be on campus within 30 minutes of acute stroke notification, and to rotate on call duties for studies. The ability to work collaboratively and constructively with a large and diverse team is essential. Light travel may be required for investigator meetings. Other related duties as assigned.
General Minimum Qualifications: Requires a bachelor's degree or equivalent in education, training and experience, plus two years of related experience in clinical research.
Working knowledge of MS Word and Excel is needed.
Additional Specific Minimum Qualifications: The ability to take initiative, be proactive, and work in a complex matrix is required. Willingness to work evenings and weekend hours in unusual or emergent situations required. Good interpersonal and organizational skills are a must. Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written) required.
Preferred Qualifications: Proficiency is Spanish is preferred.
