Menlo School is looking for a substitute Visual Arts Teacher position for half of the 2017-2018 school year. The candidate must possess experience teaching art to 6-8th grade students in a variety of mediums such as painting, drawing and sculpture. The teacher must possess excellent classroom management and organization skills. The teacher must be strong at fostering a supportive and positive art community in the classroom. The teacher’s other responsibilities will include Co-Advising the MS Yearbook Design Elective and leading an 8th grade Advocacy group. In addition to these responsibilities, the substitute will attend 8th grade Team meetings and Creative Arts Team meetings, chaperone an event, and have a supervision lunch duty as well as other responsibilities.
Art Classes- 4 classes total (65 minute long classes)
6th grade Art Class- (quarter long class- 6th graders)
Sculpture Art Class- x2 (two semester long classes- 7th & 8th graders)
Yearbook Design Elective (Co-Advisor)
8th grade Advocate
