| Posting Summary: Information Technology Services is seeking an experienced, forward thinking IT professional to serve as the Identity and Access Management Analyst. The IAM Analyst will participate in a technical project team in a major effort to replace the University's central identity management systems via the implementation of a modern IAM solution and framework. The analyst will collaborate on a variety of IAM related projects and initiatives.|
This position will report to the IAM Program Manager. Duties include:
Document user requirements translating those into functional and technical design documents.
Follow SDLC methodologies to form a framework for planning and controlling the creation, testing, configuration, and delivery of the IAM system.
Configure and provide technical analysis, support, and defect resolution of enterprise identity management platforms, applications, tools and interfaces.
Document platform support and workflow procedures.
Work independently and within project teams to implement identity solutions.
Attend, contribute, and coordinate project team meetings.
Serve as team lead and/or project lead on specific projects.
The ideal candidate will have excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to set own priorities to coordinate multiple assignments with fluctuating and time-sensitive deadlines.
Required Minimum Level of Education: *Degree or Equivalent Experience Required
Required Specific Degree/Training: Bachelor's degree or equivalent is required.
Preferred Minimum Level of Education: *Degree Preferred
Required Minimum Level of Experience: Considerable - 4 to 7 years
Required Specific Experience: Knowledge of Identity & Access Management (IAM) technologies, such as user provisioning, role-based access control, attestation, request based access, enterprise directory, certificate management, and password management.
Experience in creating requirements documents as well as technical design documents.
Experience in creating test plans and perform/coordinate testing, provide implementation oversight, and training as requested.
Demonstrated experience with SQL and/or experience with a modern structured programming language including a relational database management system such as Oracle and/or Postgres.
Demonstrated experience with Linux, UNIX and Windows operating systems.
Preferred Minimum Level of Experience: Extensive - 7 years plus
Preferred Specific Experience: Comprehensive knowledge of the Identity and Access Management lifecycle for Higher Education.
Demonstrated experience with the design, configuration, administration, and implementation of LDAP or Active Directory services
Demonstrated experience and knowledge of authentication management systems (e.g: SAML, OAuth, Shibboleth, LDAP, SSO)
Demonstrated experience developing database applications
Experience with common database platforms such as Oracle, Postgres, and MSSQL
Preferred License or Certification: ITILv3 Foundation, or higher, certification level
CISSP or CISM desired
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Working knowledge of common software application packages and tools for performance monitoring and issues tracking.
Thorough working knowledge of the software development life cycle (SDLC), object oriented design, development, and change management techniques.
Demonstrated ability to identify and implement maintenance fixes, troubleshoot/isolate and correct malfunctions, including interface problems.
Demonstrated ability to identify, assess impact, and develop recovery strategies and documentation for application or system failures.
Demonstrated ability to use creative problem-solving skills and apply effective technical solutions.
Demonstrated ability to work with technical and non-technical staff to identify user requirements and translate them into technology-based solutions.
Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to set own priorities to coordinate multiple assignments with fluctuating and time-sensitive deadlines.
