The Infracapital team within M&G Investments, the investment management arm of Prudential Plc, are seeking a motivated employee with excellent financial modelling, analysis and valuation skills to join the this infrastructure equity investment team.
This is an exciting opportunity to join Infracapital, M&G's infrastructure equity investment team. The team over 30 people is responsible for managing investment funds targeting private equity investments in core European infrastructure businesses and projects. Noteworthy investments that the team have completed include Associated British Ports, Kelda Group, Affinity Water, Zephyr (the UK's largest operational wind farm portfolio), Calvin Capital, Gigaclear and Red Funnel ferries in addition to over 20 substantial PPP infrastructure projects
Infracapital's primary focus is making and managing investments in the core infrastructure sectors of utilities, transport and social infrastructure and is actively looking to develop its investment portfolio across Europe.
The Prudential Group has made a significant commitment to infrastructure with substantial investments in both public and private equity and is one of the leading institutional investors in the infrastructure market. The Infracapital business is expected to grow significantly over time as M&G actively develops this important investment class.
A proportion of the role will be to take responsibility for portfolio and asset level modelling, reporting and analysis within the team including valuations work as required. The role will allow significant experience and responsibilities to be gained within the asset management or transactional areas of the Infracapital business.
What we are looking for
You will possess strong financial modelling and analytical experience (including building, reviewing and updating), preferably with exposure to the infrastructure sector and related company or fund financial models. In addition you will be commercially astute with an ability to translate numerical results and an appreciation of relevant valuation, modelling or investment issues. A professional qualification (potentially accounting or analytical) would be advantageous although not imperative.
