In this unique opportunity with our ePharmacy group, you will provide clinical pharmaceutical care from a telemedicine hub to acute access sites across a seven state region. Ideal candidates will have completed a residency and/or have clinical hospital or related experience. Our hub is housed among telemedicine programs providing ER, ICU and LTC services. We are staffed with two or more pharmacists 24 hours a day which conveniently provides the benefit of 7 on, 7 off rotations and opportunity for collaboration with colleagues while pursuing optimal clinical outcomes for the patients we serve.
JOB SUMMARY: Under general supervision, plans, directs and coordinates pharmacy services and manages affiliated ePharmacy services in accordance with professional standards, regulatory and licensing agency policies, and federal and state laws related to the practice of pharmacy. Ensures that the departmental environment provides for maximum human development, channels human energies towards accomplishment of Avera's philosophy, mission and goals. Maintains confidentiality when dealing with all customers. Supports Avera through the daily application of our mission, vision, core values and social principles while providing quality care and service to our patients, their families, coworkers, physicians, volunteers, and the communities we serve. Performs duties in a manner consistent with Safety Principles. Coordinates work flow with other team members to ensure a productive and efficient environment. Serves on organization committees as requested/required.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, developing, training, and retaining employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
