The primary responsibilities of this role, Deputy Director Outcomes Data Generation, Oncology, are to:
Be a member of the Real World Evidence Disease/Product Team;
Contribute as a member on the cross-functional study team for Real Life Evidence (RLE) studies;
Work as a member of a cross-functional team (e.g., drug safety, development, medical affairs);
Develop observational study protocols and analyze plans with the guidance of the Real World Strategy Lead;
Collaborate with external partners (e.g., key opinion leaders, academic institutions, Contract Research Organizations (CROs) on design and implementation of RLE studies;
Develop analysis specifications in partnership with Analysts Authors or contribute to study reports, publications, and presentations;
Develop Real World study Request For Proposal (RFP), lead discussion with CROs, and manage study timelines and budget;
Contribute to regulatory submissions and Health Technology Assessments (HTA) in collaboration with global cross-functional teams with the Real World Strategy Lead and collaboration with Global Regulatory Affairs (GRA) or Global Health Economics Outcome Research (GHEOR);
Contribute to clinical development plans and global medical affairs plans under the leadership of Real World Strategy Lead;
Explain methodological strengths and work to minimize the impact of limitations of Real World Evidence;
Maintain knowledge of observational research methods and their application;
Maintain knowledge of health data sources for therapeutic area;
Participate in Real-Life Evidence Strategies and Outcomes Data Generation functional and other cross-functional initiatives.

Doctoral degree (Ph.D., Dr.P.H., Sc.D.) in health services research, public health, epidemiology, or health economics or a Doctoral degree in a clinical discipline (medicine, pharmacy, nursing) with at least three (3) years of experience working in Outcomes Research in a pharmaceutical company or a Master degree (M.Sc., M.P.H.) in health services research, public health, epidemiology, or health economics with at least five (5) years experience working in Outcomes Research in a pharmaceutical company;
Experience in market access, epidemiology or medical affairs including close interactions with regulatory or Health Technology Assessment (HTA) authorities regarding approvals, assessments and appraisal situations;
Knowledge of observational data analysis methods and Real World Data (RWD) data sources (non-interventional studies, electronic medical records, administrative healthcare claims, disease registries, national surveys etc.) and comparative effectiveness research methods;
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills;
Passion for cross-functional collaboration and excellent interpersonal and communication skills;
Business fluent in English, both spoken and written.
Advanced academic degree in medicine, pharmacy, biostatistics or a related health care field, combined with a degree in epidemiology, health economics or comparable public health science;
