Involves developing and implementing programs for student outreach, recruitment, and admissions for the university and / or school / college / department within appropriate constituents and communities; and educating the public about admissions requirements, policies, and processes.
Under supervision of the Assistant Director of Admissions and working independently in a regionally based home office, the Regional Admissions Representative will act as a campus representative in an assigned California region. The incumbent will represent UCSC at assigned high schools and community based organizations in their assigned territory, focusing on the recruitment and enrollment of student populations consistent with UCSC Office of Admissions goals.
The incumbent maintains established inter-institutional relationships, provides information about campus and UC system-wide programs, admissions policies and requirements. Collaborates with high school counselors, school principals, and campus staff. Represents the UC system and assists campus colleagues with other outreach efforts, including staffing UC, state and national fairs and conferences.
Under general supervision, the incumbent will use independent judgement in the evaluation and application of UC approved guidelines for admissions to UCSC.
As assigned, the incumbent will assist in the planning and execution of various outreach and yield projects and events, including California admitted student receptions.

This is a regionally based, home office position.
Bachelor's degree in related area and / or equivalent experience / training
Experience in student recruitment and/or selection programs, or in working with the target populations
Experience in education, counseling, or program promotion
Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to provide and receive clear, concise information, and to effectively communicate on an individual and group basis
Excellent presentation skills and proven ability to clearly present complex, technical information and issues in professional settings to a variety of audiences
