The Office of Undergraduate Research, Scholarship, and Creative Activity (OUR) is seeking a BRIDGES Program Manager and Outreach Coordinator. BRIDGES (Building Relationships, Inspiring Diversity, and Generating Excellence in Scholarship) is a program for underrepresented scholarship recipients in the Dietrich School of Arts and Sciences.
He/she manages all aspects of the BRIDGES program: recruits BRIDGES Scholars; supervises a team of 20 BRIDGES mentors; refines and evaluates existing programming; creates and implements new programming to address students' academic and co-curricular needs; coordinates events such as the annual new student retreat, faculty-student networking events, monthly workshops, and other events and activities throughout the academic year; oversees the program budget; teaches 1-2 sections of FP 0001 Intro to the Arts and Sciences for BRIDGES scholars; and communicates the mission of BRIDGES through written communications and oral presentations to prospective students, current students, parents, and faculty online, in print, and in person.
Additional duties include: conducting outreach activities with a focus on increasing access to undergraduate research opportunities in the Dietrich School; developing new programs and assessing existing programs in collaboration with the Director; teaching a section of the First Experiences in Research course; participating in OUR events and activities including orientation events and academic year workshops.

2-3 years experience

Applicants should have experience working with college students. Experience working with underrepresented students and familiarity with the University of Pittsburgh is preferred.
