This role is required to collaborate with stakeholders and relevant parties to develop the Group Compliance strategy to address regulatory requirements relating to Technology Regulatory issues. These regulatory requirements relate to aspects such as cyber and information security, software development frameworks, cloud technologies, global sandboxing guidelines, etc. This person will consolidate, articulate, and advise upon the Group Compliance risk in relation to these areas.
Key Roles and Responsibilities
Partner with Risk/Policy Owners to ensure Technology policies/procedures/frameworks incorporate adequate controls and/or standards to comply with regulatory requirements and/or align with industry leading practices
Act as the Technology Regulations subject matter expert (SME) within Group Compliance to: a) Be the go-to function for Technology related regulations/ concerns; b) Collaborate with other teams (e.g., Retail/ CIB/ Functions Compliance, Privacy) within Group Compliance where necessary to incorporate regulatory considerations with respect to Technology and the ITO function; c) Develop and maintain a knowledge base of Technology-specific financial regulations; d) Partner with Data, Operations, and Outsourcing Compliance functions where necessary; e) Define and communicate the roles and responsibilities of Technology Compliance.
Support and advise Business/Functions (e.g., process owners) on controls that must be embedded within processes, considering regulatory obligations and industry leading practices. Some examples include: a) The cyber and information security consultation papers from financial and non-financial regulators b) The regulatory requirements (if any) in transitioning from the traditional software development lifecycle to the agile development methodology
Partner with DTOO advisory team to provide Technology Compliance support for programs initiated by Businesses/ Functions.
Keep abreast of regulatory changes/ updates in the Technology space through participation in industry forums, seminars, etc.
Qualifications and Skills
Technology related compliance knowledge required, and at least 10 years of relevant experience in Technology risk management
Knowledge of products and/ or businesses operations within financial institutions would be preferred
Understanding of regulatory landscape and requirements with respect to Technology Regulations across regions such as ASEAN, Europe, Americas, Greater China, Africa and Middle East.
Prior experience in a financial regulatory authority would be an added advantage
Knowledge and experience in areas such as operational risk management, information security.
A methodical and meticulous individual with the ability to multi-task and lead a function.
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Comfortable dealing with Senior Executives of the Bank across different ethnic and culture
Enjoys working in a fast paced, sometimes demanding environment
