About the Position:An endowed, full-time, tenure track position at the Associate or Full Professor level is available at the College of Business and Economics of Western Washington University. The position can be in any of the academic departments of the college. The starting date is September 2018. The College is considered a leadership unit within Western Washington University. The College is AACSB accredited at both the undergraduate and graduate levels and has more than 65 full-time faculty. The College grants an MBA degree along with Bachelor degrees in Business Administration, Accounting, Manufacturing Management and Economics.

Position Responsibilities:The person selected should have a commitment to working with a four-person international business faculty group to generate international business research and to further develop a well-established international business program. The candidate should be comfortable working with, and searching for collaborative research opportunities with the international business faculty and the wider group of teachers and researchers interested in international topics throughout the College and the university. Initial teaching responsibilities will include two sections of an MBA international core course and one section of an additional undergraduate elective. A course with Canadian content would add value, as would the ability to teach advanced specialty courses in international business.
PhD or equivalent in an international business relevant field
A strong record of high quality research in international business or other international areas sufficient for appointment at the rank of Associate Professor or Professor
Experience and demonstrated ability to effectively teach international business courses at the MBA and undergraduate level
Ability to participate in and be an advocate for international business activities in the College
Commitment to International Business as a program of study
Commitment to working effectively with Western’s increasingly diverse student body
Willingness to do joint research with existing international business faculty and other faculty colleagues
Experience and ability to teach introductory international business classes
Experience and ability to teach specialty international business courses at the advanced undergraduate and MBA level
Experience with and/or interest in participating in the management of the undergraduate international business program
Ability and willingness to teach a course with Canadian content in the international business area
