We are now hiring for a part-time BilingualSocial Worker/Counselor to join our Team!
The BilingualSocial Worker/Counselor will utilize a multi-disciplinary, multi-service and systemic approach to provide a range of client centered services to survivors and the children witnesses of domestic violence in a shelter setting and off site.
Essential Job Functions:
Responsible for collaborating with the Safe House Wings Metro and providing the clinical services to residents victims of domestic violence and children witnesses.
Conducts psychosocial assessments and develop service plans with clients.
Provides individual, family and group evidence-based and trauma informed services to children and adults.
Provision of educational groups and support group services and safety planning to victims of domestic violence.
Maintains complete documentation of clinical records for quality assurance purposes.
Assess progress and success of intervention through agency approved outcome evaluation tools.
Completes and update documentation in a timely manner
Master’s Degree in Social Work or Psychology required.
LSW or LPC preferred
Minimum of two (2) years of experience.
40 DV Training certificate or willingness to take training required.
Must have access to a vehicle, proof of insurance and valid driver’s license to perform essential job functions.
Experience in working with adults and children in a residential setting preferred.
Experience in working with clients and problem solving strategies, implementing Evidence Based practices including; Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy; experience facilitating groups, ability to work on a team.
Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to work effectively with diverse individuals and groups.
