The City of Bend is seeking a Collection Systems Supervisor to join the Utility Department management team while providing leadership, direction and organization of the collection and stormwater staff and the annual maintenance of over 400 miles of gravity sewer and pressure main lines, over 400 lift stations, 60 miles of storm drain lines and over 10,000 associated catch basins, dry wells, and drill holes.
The position requires a self-motivated leader that brings organization, positive energy, and motivation for growth while also keeping focus on the broader maintenance goals and requirements for the City's collection system. Coordinates activities essential for the efficient, safe and continuous maintenance of the collection system and its components.
The successful candidate will have demonstrated supervisory experience in a union environment and demonstrable experience leading change management in a wastewater and stormwater utility program.

This position supervises and oversees the maintenance and operation of the wastewater collection, and stormwater infrastructure including lift stations maintenance and operation, CCTV inspection, and cleaning of wastewater and stormwater systems. The position also oversees the flow-monitoring program that supports ongoing efforts to monitor collections system flows and provides important data to the Industrial Pretreatment and Engineering Department staff.
