The Research Project and Data Coordinator will assist the Principal Investigator with multidisciplinary health care management and policy research projects related to improving technology-enabled process workflows to enhance patient safety at the intersection of primary care settings. The ideal candidate must have excellent research capabilities, including the ability to conduct literature reviews and coordinate and perform data collection (e.g. ethnographic, interview, survey) and analysis (both qualitative and quantitative), as well as exceptional organizational and project coordination skills. Strong qualitative analysis skills, in particular, are preferred.
The successful candidate will assist with management of day-to-day activities for three interrelated research projects as well as the overall program. They will contribute to study design and implementation, coordinate logistical matters, coordinate and support research staff, participate in working groups, fulfill reporting requirements, provide support to leadership staff, and monitor timelines and budgets. S/he will develop, review, and revise key project documents (e.g., survey instruments, abstraction tools, memos, letters, etc.), compilation and organization of preliminary results for annual progress reports to funders and in the preparation of presentations and final publications. In addition, s/he may have the opportunity to be involved with other activities, including grant writing and dissemination of results.
Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Actively engages in data collection (e.g., field site visits, qualitative/quantitative data) and analysis, which would involve use of coding software such as NVivo and other analytical approaches.
- Monitors grant requirements and project timelines in such a way as to ensure that the project meets milestones, preparing and submitting human subjects research protocols and progress reports, preparing and delivering presentations for academic, clinical, and grantor audiences.
- Drafts reports and manuscripts.
- Works closely with the PI as well as other project team members to ensure that research aims are fulfilled in a timely fashion and budget is managed appropriately.
- Participates and contributes to project meetings and facilitates new and existing partnerships.
- Other duties as assigned.
