The position requires a Bachelor’s degree in business or a related field plus a minimum of 3 years of program management experience in business development, sales or group purchasing; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Candidates must have prior experience developing and implementing marketing and sales plans and making sound and independent business decisions.
Other requirements include the proven ability to achieve targeted results, communicate effectively with vendors, association members, board members and co-workers; the demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and to meet deadlines with minimal supervision. Significant computer proficiency with Microsoft Office applications is required as well as familiarity with Salesforce/Nimble AMS. The ability to work independently combined with the effective willingness to work as a collaborative team player; strong attention to detail; customer service; organization; and excellent spelling and grammar skills is essential. Availability to travel overnight to meetings and conferences.
