The Terminix Leadership Development Program is a field-based, 18-month rotational experience that will provide the broadest possible leadership development experience in preparation for running your own branch-based business.
As a Leadership Development Trainee, you will gain experience and training as you accelerate through performance-based rotations in the following areas:
Technical Proficiency in Core Services
Call Center Operations
Branch Operations and Management
Inside and Outside Sales
With successful completion of the milestones listed below, this rotational experience will provide you with the foundational knowledge and skills essential for running your own branch-based business.
-Ability to obtain required federal, state, local, and company training programs within prescribed time limits for proper licensing and certification
-Knowledge maintenance of technical data concerning product and chemical uses and their application
-Knowledge maintenance of federal, state, and local regulations regarding Terminix products and services
- Ability to sell Terminix products and services to owners or agents of homes, stores or industries and conduct inspections
- Ability to prepare proposals and presentations to obtain sales contracts and assist in the collection of payments and scheduling of services
- Ability to direct and monitor staff of the branch service department to provide quality service to customers in a timely manner
- Provide continuous, up-to-date training of branch personnel
-Proficiency to inspect termite and pest control work completed by branch personnel to ensure compliance with company standards
-Maintenance of inventory and service delivery in compliance with company policy
-Assistance to Branch Manager in attaining sales goals and branch revenue objectives; directing and monitoring staff of the branch sales department through training, coaching and providing support for field sales associates; monitoring & evaluation of sales performance; compliance with company sales & safety policies and procedures
-Work in conjunction with Talent Acquisition and HR Support in recruiting, hiring, and training of associates; ensures sales training requirements are achieved
-Ability to maintain equipment, vehicle and personal safety equipment per company requirements
-Maintains appearance of uniform as directed by company policy
Bachelor's degree (BA/BA) from a four-year college or university; GPA 3.0 or above
Acceptance into and successful completion of Part I of the SVM Terminix Management Development Program
College graduate and 1 – 2 years work experience preferred
Prior service industry work / internship experience preferred
Ability to earn and maintain licenses/certificates as required by federal, state, & local regulations
Ability to maintain knowledge of pests and products used in treatment.
Maintains valid driver's license
Ability to maintain flexible work schedule
Ability to travel and relocate anywhere in the U.S.
Ability to solve practical problems with a variety of variables in situations where only limited standardization exists
Strong interpersonal skills for successful interaction with trainers, mentors, and management
Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively prepare and present information
Ability to efficiently manage time such that assignments, goals, and objectives are met
Aptitude for leadership positions and operations management
Ability to take responsibility for decisions and actions
Ability to lead and motivate others
