Under limited supervision the IT Analyst will be the liaison between Business users and IT shared services teams and will assist with the development and maintenance of the back office enterprise technology.
The IT Analyst will document and configure applications to enable integration between systems and validate and test results to ensure the system is meeting corporate and enterprise needs.
The IT Analyst may specialize in one or more functional areas such as Finance, Sourcing, HR or specialize in a specific software or system.
Essential Job Function (Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities):
Gather, develop, coordinate, and maintain technical documentation such as process flows, system specifications, business requirements and diagrammatic models for various projects and/or systems from planning phase to final implementation, assuring requirements meet acceptance standards
Take a lead role in planning, design, documentation, testing and deployment of projects. Assist Project Managers in project timeline definition related to user documentation requirements including review phases, level of effort and duration of requirements management activities
Lead design sessions in prototyping new systems for the purpose of enhancing business processes, operations and information process flow
Partner with the business to facilitate the implementation of new or modified system change
Set and manage project expectations with team members and other stakeholders
Coordinates and/or performs testing of system modifications and develops systems training and education tools/materials as needed. Validates that user requirements are met by developed solutions.
Conducts research and analysis into the nature, effect, and results of systems problems including root cause analysis through problem ticket resolution. Performs program configuration/modification and sets up activities for enterprise systems, if applicable.
Understand the source and use of key business data and prepares analysis reports to enable business and design decisions
Assists users with understanding company systems and supports users with system issues
Must quickly learn new areas of the business to provide superior support as business needs change
Apply technology and business knowledge to solve business problems
After hours support will be required as needed
Minimum 5-7 years of experience with business analysis or systems development or equivalent combination of education and experience
Exhibits leadership ability with a track record of developing people and achieving challenging objectives
Functional Knowledge in any of the following: Supply Chain, Finance, HR or Logistics
Require strong communication skills and the ability to understand and simplify complex material
Experience with formal development life cycles and business requirements methodologies and tools
A demonstrated successful track record of delivering projects of medium or above priority and risk is required
Experience with various business process and system modeling tools such as: Data
Flow, Diagrams, Process Models, ER diagrams, Dimensional Data Models, Context Models, Event Modeling, State Modeling, Process decomposition, and Use Case Scenarios
An ability to quickly recognize solutions to arising issues
Strong application support and problem solving skills
An ability to identify and leverage department resources to accomplish goals
Ability to work well with all levels of resources in the organization
Ability to work collaboratively cross functionally
Business Analysis certification is a plus
Strong JDE ERP experience is a plus
Knowledge and understanding of web services, SOA (Services Oriented Architecture), micro services, and API biased architectures
Experience in Agile Development, DevOps methodologies and patterns.
Knowledge and understanding of diverse platforms and operating systems, including current and emerging technologies.
