Manage the quarterly data sourcing process and external population of consultant databases through the use of eVestment Omni service
Work within a global team, ensuring the highest quality quantitative and qualitative information is incorporated into our distribution efforts
Create new and innovate ways of aggregating large and diverse datasets, while maintaining existing content seamlessly
Through knowledge development, be recognized as an expert for the quantitative information pertaining to our strategies of focus
Respond to internal requests from various client, investment and business development groups with regard to our products and their underlying data
Contribute to the total effort of the team, participating in cross-training and supporting business analytics projects as needed
Your team You will help lead our database management efforts within the Market Data & Analytics Team based in Chicago, IL. We are a dynamically growing team focused on supporting our marketing and sales strategy efforts globally, with a primary focus on Institutional Asset Management. Our team is split into two primary areas of focus; the sourcing and population of UBS information to external sources (database management), and the analysis and interpretation of market information and its impacts to our business strategy (business analytics). As a data analyst, you will be instrumental in ensuring our database management processes stay ahead of the curve, and continue to provide our business analytics team with the best available information for their assessments.
Your experience and skills You have:
Strong Excel knowledge, including pivot tables, VBA driven macros and model creation
SQL experience, specifically MS Access but experience with any implementation is welcome
Experience with consultant and proprietary databases, preferably eVestment and Morningstar
A Bachelor's degree in Finance, Information Systems, Mathematics, or Operations Management
Strong problem solving skills used to ensure data is logical and accurate.
Demonstrated project management skills with the ability to respond to shifting priorities.
Superior attention to detail and focus on accuracy
2-5 years' work experience in an Institutional Financial role
Passionate about quality database management procedures and building efficiencies
A superior communicator with an emphasis on building relationships across multiple functions
High energy and continually look for new and better ways to improve deliverables.
