The Principals program is a partnership between Harvard's Business School (HBS) and the Harvard Graduate School of Education (HGSE) with a mission to deliver intellectual resources on leadership and management in order to help develop effective principals in the U.S. at scale. The program consists of four online courses powered by HBX, Harvard Business School's digital on line learning effort.
Reporting to the Associate Director, HBX Course Development and Delivery, the Sr. Project Manager will be responsible for working across teams to provide project management support in the design and launch of the program.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Coordinate the work of project stakeholders involved in developing the program content, including research associates, multimedia producers, and user experience specialists.
Review content development plans and provide feedback on their relationship to program, use of HBX platform capabilities, and implications for ongoing delivery and maintenance. Ensure adherence to best practices for content accessibility and permissions management.
Estimates projects using multiple techniques to arrive at realistic schedules. Delivers project results predictably, on time and on budget. Provides regular project progress measures and status reporting.
Develop relationships with faculty, academic support staff and others involved in the intellectual capital creation. Gain a working knowledge of the teaching agenda.
In the program start-up phase, work across the HBS, HGSE and HBX to develop internal delivery structure. Work with HGSE and HBX Program Services, Software Development, and Business Operations to design services and functionality to support the program and track progress of key milestones and adjust plans as necessary.
Working across teams, develop content and assessment refinement plan post-launch while prioritizing areas for future development. Work closely with product owners to collect and integrate participant feedback into this planning.
Note: Term appointment through June 30, 2018, with the possibility of reappointment.
