This is a TEMPORARY, FULL-TIME position, scheduled Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. It begins Upon Hire and is expected to run through May of 2018.

Procurement Services has an outstanding opportunity open for a Temporary Fiscal Technician 3.
Reporting to the Procurement Services Accounts Payable Manager, the Fiscal Technician 3 position will be responsible for managing manual supplier invoices created from Ariba purchases.
This position will contribute to the Procurement Services Culture of Service, focused on delivering value for others inside and outside the organization and across the University through customer service, operational effectiveness and employee satisfaction.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Manage incoming manual invoices for purchases made using Ariba Non-Catalog and Blanket Purchase Order modules.
Review and log invoices in Ariba.
Analyze invoices and follow up with departments or suppliers to resolve issues
Reconcile invoices as needed.
Actively participate in Ariba Accounts Payable Reconciliation Team, identifying process issues and applying Lean tools to improve processes.
Other related duties as required.
High school diploma, or GED certificate AND fifteen quarter hours or ten semester hours of college-level accounting or bookkeeping AND two years of full-time experience as a Fiscal Technician, or equivalent, including experience using accounting-related software; An Associate of Arts Degree, or equivalent, in accounting or business may substitute for one year of required experience. Equivalent education/experience will substitute for all minimum qualifications except when there are legal requirements, such as a license/certification/registration.
Experience which demonstrates: Positive and collaborative participation in a work team. Consistent attention to details and accuracy of work. Ability to efficiently manage time and work in a high-volume, fast-paced environment. Ability to stay focused on assigned tasks. Proficiency with MS Office including: Word (composing and formatting business correspondence). Excel (sorting and filtering data, writing basic formulas). Outlook (managing high volume email). Access (entering data into database).
Experience participating in continuous process improvement efforts. Experience with UW financial and procurement systems and processes.
