The Global Risk & Analysis group within Morgan Stanley Investment Management is responsible for identifying, assessing, managing and monitoring risk across all IM businesses and developing divisional presentations, reporting and analysis for IM and Firm Management. The Operational Risk group works with all divisions of the business (including Active Fundamental Equity, Fixed Income, Liquidity, Solutions & Multi-Asset, Private Credit & Equity, Real Assets, Client Engagement and Global Business Operations) and coordinates with the business stakeholders, risk partners, other control functions and the Firm to mitigate operational risk concerns.
Conduct ongoing risk and control self-assessments Work with business partners to improve risk controls Process and analyse operational risk incidents Deliver and enhance analytical reporting Identify and escalate risk issues Operate as Business Unit Information Security Officer covering MSIM Public Operate as a divisional representative to EMEA Operational Risk committees and working groups Cover Business Continuity Plan as a Business Unit representative Operate as a project manager for MSIM as well as Firm Vendor Management and Outsourcing programs Consult with internal groups such as Compliance, Legal, and Operations on matters related to risk controls, self-assessments, incidents and infrastructure projects Oversee a consultant
This will include:
Extensive financial services experience in audit, compliance, product management, technology management, or operational risk management Strong knowledge of buy-side business is required Proven track record of delivering strategic projects Ability to think strategically and independently Strong relationship management skills and ability to facilitate discussions with senior management participants Strong communication skills with and ability to coordinate projects and deliverables across multiple regions Good technical skills including Excel, Access, and other end user computing tools. Prior experience with enterprise reporting tools is a plus MBA, CFA, CPA, CISA, or FRM is considered a plus but not required
