The Association of College and Research Libraries (ACRL) division of the American Library Association is seeking a Program Coordinator.
Reporting to the Program Officer for member services and working closely with the staff team, the position is responsible for: serving as the staff liaison to ACRL chapters and independently coordinating the Chapter Speakers Bureau program; serving as the staff liaison to ACRL discussion groups and interest groups, and assisting members wishing to establish new groups, continue an existing group, or become a section; managing ACRL donations, including preparing solicitations, processing donations, tracking donations and assisting in quarterly and annual budget report preparation; managing ACRL archive day; and providing support for virtual and onsite meeting requests.
This position will provide support for the ACRL Program Officer and projects involving the ACRL organizational development program. Contributes to the overall operation of the division.

Minimum of three to four years of similar work experience, preferably with an association. Bachelor’s degree preferred. Previous project management experience.
Fluency with MS Office products, including Word, Excel, and Access. Experience with member databases, preferably iMIS Experience with online content management systems and html editing, preferably Drupal.
Sophisticated communication skills, both oral and written. Ability to deal with the public in a customer-service capacity. Attention to detail, ability to exercise independent judgment, discretion, and problem-solving skills on both the interpersonal and technological level. Ability to successfully handle multiple on-going projects while adapting to changing (or unexpected shifts) in workflow. Excellent organizational ability while maintaining good internal communication. Willingness to provide back-up support for other jobs. Some travel required.
