The Carnegie Museum of Natural History is seeking a Curatorial Assistant in the section of Botany.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Preference would be for someone who has a degree or diploma in a botanical field with experience working in a herbarium within a natural history museum.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES: Attention to detail and excellent organizational skills is imperative. Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs, including Word, Excel, Access, and Outlook, as well as the Internet for research is required. Experience in geo-referencing locations using various tools would be advantageous.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: The worker should be able to climb stairs, stoop, carry, reach and lift boxes of specimens up to 20 pounds.
