Description: This is a full-time position in the Vanderbilt Orthopaedic Institute, Department of Orthopaedic Surgery and Rehabilitation. This position will primarily be responsible for data management and quality control of a large, national spine surgery registry. The position would provide an excellent opportunity to gain experience with registry data and patient-reported outcomes. Additional opportunities available include assisting faculty, residents, and fellows with grant and manuscript preparation including basic data analysis.
Key Functions and Expected Performances:
Independently oversee the data management plan for a national registry
Independently oversee data validation and audits for a national registry
Prepare data quality and data audit reports
Organize and verify the accuracy of data within large data sets; perform calculations and prepare charts, graphs and reports
Use statistical software applications to assemble, manipulate and/or format data and test reports
Assist faculty, residents, and fellows with grant and manuscript preparation
Assist residents and fellows with basic data analysis for manuscripts and grants
Assist clinical sites with data access agreements
Maintain accurate and timely documentation of data management procedures
Communicate regularly and effectively with investigators and other members of the registry team
