Education: Bachelor's degree
Experience: Five (5) years of development experience with at least two(2) years in fund-raising.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Possess knowledge of best practicesin non-profit fundraising, major gifts, reporting and receipting requirementsand corporate and foundation relations in non-profit fundraising. Able to perform position in compliance withall requirements, regulations, and laws. Ability to maintain high standards with the work being performed;Ability to manage more than one project simultaneously and a demonstratedrecord of completing assignments; and ability to maintain awareness withemerging trends, industry practices, and influences with assigned area. Assumes personal responsibility for alloutcomes; makes effective and timely decisions; and learns how to effectivelyuse technology. Maintains productivityand uses knowledge strategies to increase knowledge base.
- Ability to proficiently communicateboth verbal and written thoughts, ideas, and facts. Interprets and understands writteninformation and is able to listen attentively to verbal and non-verbal cuesthat lead to a deeper understanding.
- Ability to work collaboratively andstrategically with others and demonstrates professional, ethical, respectful,and courteous behavior when interacting with others. Capable of interacting pleasantly andpositively with other to meet customer expectations and cultivate newprospects, and provide follow up with customers.
- Availability and willingness to workevenings, weekends and outside standard business hours as necessary.
