Oversee day-to-day programmatic elements of projects working in international family planning, reproductive health, and population dynamics for the Bill & Melinda Gates Institute for Population and Reproductive Health. Projects will include 1) the International Conference on Family Planning, 2) the Demographic Dividend, 3) 120 Under 40: The New Generation of Family Planning Leaders, 4) The GI Summer Institute and related tasks.
Responsible for backstopping programmatic activities of the Gates Institute. Work closely with Program Officers and Communication Officer on a wide range of programmatic tasks. Provide short term technical assistance and project coordination. Draft project work plans and prepare technical briefs. Provide expertise by writing first drafts of project reports, communication with sponsors and faculty, as well as, other documents needing to conduct project work.
Responsible for ongoing management including maintaining shared documents and policies for the institute and updating and overseeing the accuracy of our SharePoint website and other Gates Institute websites. Provide input on materials, strategies, work plans and budgets as needed and undertake various kinds of research, including literature reviews, web searches and the creation of presentations.
Prepare grant reports for project funders, PowerPoint presentations, technical correspondence, notes, etc. Provide technical editing as needed. Conduct literature reviews and secondary analysis of data to support Institute faculty. Support programmatic work as needed, overseeing general communications to partners and other interested parties.
