Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, is seeking a Postdoctoral Fellow within Molecular Biology and Biochemistry department at the Rutgers Cancer Institute of New Jersey. Among the key duties of this position are the following:
Conducts research investigation to understand the role of cancer metabolism in tumorigenesis under the supervision of the Principal Investigator.
Performs research, experiments, and laboratory techniques of a specialized nature.
Generates expression and CRISPRCas9 knockout and mutation constructs using molecular biology techniques.
Tests hypotheses with functional studies in genetically engineered mice.
Drafts written reports for inclusion in manuscripts and grant proposals.
Prepares written reports and publications of the research experiments.
Home Location Campus: Downtown New Brunswick
Background in cancer biology research is preferred.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Effective oral and written communication skills required.
Must be computer literate with proficiency and working knowledge of database and reporting tools such as Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint.
