The typical customers for this OD work include business leaders, various client groups, and Organization Development & Learning (ODL) leadership. In addition, the Sr. OD Consultant manages internal resources and external vendors to maximize the effectiveness and efficiency of complex projects and programs. Responsibilities:
Partners with executives to lead and manage implementation of major organizational change projects. Also leads and manages implementation of related components such as planning, communications, change management, and enabling technologies. -Contracts, assesses, designs, and delivers OD consulting services and manages projects that link to strategic business objectives, and add value to the larger healthcare organization.
Leads and manages OD projects and programs from initial contracting through post-intervention evaluation. Organizes and leads project teams.
Works with leadership teams and work groups at all levels to improve their overall effectiveness.
Designs and manages leadership development programs and customized interventions for a broad range of clients. This area of work includes 360 feedback and planning, learning technologies, and the achievement of desired outcomes.
Supports talent management initiatives and projects. This portfolio of work includes but is not limited to succession management practices.
Manages and supports high potential leadership development programs.
Supports enhancements and development of the executive coaching program.
Quickly establishes credibility with business leaders.
Builds and manages client relationships.
Manages vendor relationships. Participates in vendor selection and contracting decisions.
Assists ODL leadership with the development of key metrics, scorecards, and reporting.
Ability to manage program and project budgets.
Management and administrative oversight of key talent programs and initiatives.

Qualification Requirements/Preferences: Education Certifications/Licensure Experience Physical Abilities Educational Requirements: An advanced degree, Masters or PhD, in Organization Development, Industrial-Organizational Psychology, or a related area (e.g., Organization Effectiveness, MBA with an OD/OE specialization) is required. Experience:
Minimum of 7 years OD-related experience is required. Highly prefer 8-14 years of OD-related experience.
Progressively responsible experience in OD and project management with large-scale initiatives and programs. Must be able to execute plans and achieve timelines and budgets.
Demonstrated experience leading and managing implementation of major organizational change initiatives.
Strong business acumen and mature professional judgement.
Demonstrated experience working successfully with executives and the ability to manage challenging projects and processes.
Proven expertise and in-depth knowledge of OD methods and practices.
Demonstrated ability to measure business outcomes and improvements as a result of OD interventions.
Strong analytical skills and experience designing and producing materials for use by senior leadership.
Demonstrated skills in quantitative data collection and processing, measurement and evaluation, and business analytics.
Ability to partner successfully with business leadership, Human Resources, and other stakeholders in a collaborative work environment.
Ability to work on multiple projects and with minimal supervision.
Executive presence and outstanding communication skills.
Expert skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Familiarity with Access or SPSS
Certification and experience using assessments and 360 instruments preferred.
Healthcare industry experience preferred. Certification and experience applying lean methods preferred. Physical Demands: (e.g., lifting, standing, walking) Lifting up to 25 lbs.
