Macquarie's COG (Corporate Operations Group) Technology OFR (Operations, Finance, and Risk) team provides technology services to the aligned business units responsible for Market Operations, Financial Management, and Risk Management across Macquarie Group.
Continuously improving operational efficiencies is a key strategy for the business and automation is one of the strategic initiatives that have been undertaken with investments made in the Blue Prism and Pega OpenSpan RPA and RDA (Robotic Desktop Automation) technologies.
Within the COG Technology OFR team there is an opportunity for an experienced Team Leader to join this diverse and innovative team to support the roll-out of automation initiatives across the businesses and build a sustainable operating model to provide an effective service on an ongoing basis.
The role will comprise:
day to management of the automation platforms to ensure that projects are delivered in a timely manner and that the platform is stable
growing the technical expertise of your team, some of whom will be located offshore, and delivering outstanding automated solutions for your clients that deliver quantifiable benefits
risk management ensuring that all open risks, dispensations, and problems are closed by their due dates
platform planning and lifecycle management with responsibility for all Upgrade projects to ensure that the accumulation of technical debt is minimised
Environment, Change, and Release management
management of the total cost of ownership of the platforms working with other service areas across the organisation to ensure that the most cost effective solution is provided
ownership of the Practices and Frameworks required to develop automation solutions
To be successful in the role, we'll expect you to have:
at least 5 years of Team Leadership experience
at least 2 year of experience with RPA and RDA technologies. Blue Prism and Pega OpenSpan preferred
experience with Lean Six Sigma and Agile development practices preferred
excellent stakeholder management
proven ability to solve problems and make the right decisions including the ability to recommend against delivering tactical solutions if the scenario warrants that
experience effectively building and leading small specialist technology teams that consistently deliver innovative automation solutions to their clients
ability to work in a matrix structure and effectively engage specialist areas internal and external to the organisation to complete tasks
excellent written and verbal communication skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
