Posting Summary: The McIntire School of Commerce is seeking applicants for the position of Assistant Director of Undergraduate Admissions. The Assistant Director of Undergraduate Admissions actively participates as a member of the McIntire Undergraduate Admission team. As a team member, the job is not solely limited to a job description but involves providing assistance to co-workers when needs arise to provide the highest level of service possible. Performs all duties in a manner that exemplifies quality customer service and continually seeks to improve services.
The Assistant Director will respond to inquiries, counsel and advise prospective students and parents and support the work of the Undergraduate Admission Committee. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, developing and implementing targeted outreach communication, planning and leading recruitment events, and cultivating and creating advising relationships with prospective students.

The McIntire Office of Undergraduate Admission is responsible for all facets of undergraduate recruitment and admission. This includes the planning and execution of information sessions and presentations with a range of 15-250 attendees; counseling and advising prospective Commerce students throughout the academic year; recruiting specialized audiences throughout the University; overseeing the internal and external undergraduate admissions processes; and engaging with a broad constituency through multiple communication methods.

Preferred Minimum Level of Education: *Degree Preferred
Preferred Specific Degree/Training: Business or Information Technology degree or Master's in Counseling, Higher Education preferred.
Required Minimum Level of Experience: Some - up to 4 years
Required Specific Experience: 2-4 years experience working in counseling or admission in higher education
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Excellent written and oral communication skills, high level of accuracy and attention to detail, creativity, experience and comfort presenting to large groups and commitment to diversity and inclusion are essential. Ability to counsel and relate to and work well with students. Ability to handle multiple projects, prioritize responsibilities and work efficiently in a fast-paced team environment. Knowledge of or ability to learn and communicate core business school requirements and curriculum information.
Required Computer Applications: Well-versed in the core MS Office suite programs and an intermediate user of Excel including the ability to use formulas, functions, and pivot tables.
