Employees are an integral part of a community that is proud of its heritage and the accomplishments that make MCPHS University a first-class educational institution.Responsibilities:The Case Manager receives incoming calls from the public seeking assistance with their medications and other healthcare-related needs and provides case management services to clients seeking assistance with accessing their medications. Assess and evaluate cases to identify problems Research and investigate federal, state, and local resources to determine resolution for clients Counsel clients regarding insurance and other social service benefits and resources Follow-up with clients to assess needs and determine outcome Investigate, research, and interpret public and private insurance programs for dissemination to clients and colleagues Utilize Access database to document client case information to assist with service-related tasks and reporting requirements Participate, as needed, in community outreach events throughout the state Assist with the development and distribution of communication materials to be utilized by colleagues and consumers to increase awareness and understanding of the Program and available resources. Assist with the collection and reporting of data for various projects. Assist with the training of students and support staff in regards to insurance and benefit programs and data collection efforts.Additional responsibilities may be assigned by the supervisor.Qualifications:Required: Associate's degree or equivalent education and experience working in the area of pharmacy or social services Knowledge of basic case management principles Knowledge of prescription, health, and social service resources available at the local, state, and federal level Excellent communication skills including telephone, in-person, and written communication skills Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment Ability to utilize MS Office suite of software including Word, Excel, Powerpoint, and AccessMCPHS offers a competitive salary and excellent benefits, including a substantial health/dental insurance subsidy, generous holiday/vacation policy, and a significant pension plan contribution.To apply, please visit www.mcphs.edu/careers.
