Tier one IB - Electronic FIC trading desk – talented software engineer (ideally Java) – London – front office, trading reporting line (compensation will fit accordingly)
Total salary expected to be in the range of - £175,000 - £325,000 London
This is one of the leading electronic brokers in the FIC space today. They have a reputation of picking some of the smartest software engineers and giving them access to the markets, trading models and most challenging problems in electronic quant finance today. You would join a small, high performing, Quantitative Development team that sit shoulder to shoulder with quants and trading staff.
The team have responsibility for building some of the core components of their electronic market making platform, including quote allocation, market connectivity, pricing models, hedging and execution algorithms. It's a nice mix of markets exposure, cutting edge technology, responsibility, and the chance to work on trading algorithms and models.
The production environment is Java but they are willing to consider talented software engineers from a range of programming backgrounds.
Requirements: Exceptional academics from a leading university - ideally in Computer Science
Deeply technical, Java (or C++). The production environment in Java but many of the team have come from C++ backgrounds. The chances are that you will also be skilled in the design and build of distributed, highly concurrent systems, and have an interest in performance and optimisation.
A decent foundation is basic mathematics.
Experience or aptitude of working with highly intelligent end users, in this case quantitative researchers / scientist types.
