Position Overview: Joining a team of three existing relationship managers, this individual will initially focus on gaining familiarity with Causeway's strategies, clients, and key messaging. We expect this individual to rapidly ascend the learning curve with the team. Upon establishing familiarity with the firm's capabilities and demonstrating dependability, we intend to assign to this relationship manager a subset of the firm's client base, with an emphasis on institutional investors in the firm's mutual funds. The relationship manager will be responsible for developing strong relationships with these clients, and serve as the primary representative for Causeway, its investment team and equity strategies. Duties will include working closely with the reporting, business development, legal/compliance and research teams to adequately respond to client requests; streamlining onboarding of new clients; creating internal and external content about Causeway's strategies; populating and summarizing pertinent account information using the firm's CRM database; taking and posting detailed notes of client interaction (in person and/or conference calls); evaluating client relationships from multiple perspectives including identifying opportunities and risks. Relationship managers work as a team and report directly into Eric Crabtree, Chief Client Service Officer. The qualified candidate must be a skilled presenter and excellent communicator in face-to-face meetings, telephone conference calls, and written communications. The position requires frequent travel.
Skills and Abilities: Minimum of 2-5 years' experience in the investment management industry in a service-oriented role, including as a pension consultant or client service professional.
Desirable qualifications include advanced business degree or CFA designation
High level of comfort with financial products and markets
Comprehensive understanding of investment terms and valuation methodologies
Outgoing, with a demonstrated ability to build relationships
