Serve as administrative assistant for the Dean’s Office in the Pamplin College of Business. Provide support to the Dean, and the Executive Assistant to the Dean. Occasional support to the Chief of Staff may also be required. Administrative support to include scheduling meetings, maintaining detailed calendaring entries, filing, and the creation of reports. This includes the development of Excel charts and tables for PowerPoint presentations, composing and editing various documents, and creating mail merges. Individual will be responsible for reviewing, generating and analyzing mass data reports to highlight and summarize key information from various databases. Assist with event planning as needed. Manage office equipment maintenance. Maintain office supply inventory. Greet visitors, answer phone, reserve conference rooms, file, distribute mail, send faxes. Handle data entry and transcription.
Experience providing high-level administrative support and customer service in a professional office environment; proficiency with computer applications such as Microsoft Office suite; strong organizational, communication and interpersonal skills; ability to maintain confidentiality; ability to organize and promptly process varied assignments; ability to locate information from any source, using the web or university resources.
Bachelor's degree in a related field; composition, proofreading and editing experience; event planning experience; mail merge; e-Newsletter; and University experience.
