PADS Lake County provision of service to the homeless is evolving, including the implementation of a coordinated entry system. This VISTA project is intended to provide a comprehensive analysis of the data being input into PADS’ Homeless Management Information System (HMIS). The VISTA will thoroughly analyze the data; provide a plan for future use of that data; and provide direction for services and other policies as a result of the analysis. This will help PADS provide the best and most appropriate service to our clients. Thereafter, the VISTA will have a better understanding of our service system. With that understanding, the VISTA will analyze data related to our donors and volunteers and see how best to work with them to further their support.
The Client Services & Resources Development VISTA will:
(1) Work with Deputy Executive Director and Program Manager to determine the most relevant and important data elements currently collected for client services (specifically under the coordinated entry system), as well as those that could prospectively be collected, and determine how their use can positively affect programming.
(2) Use current data to determine baseline data for performance measurement system, including length of stay homeless and recidivism rate.
(3) Use knowledge to assist in further resource development by engaging donors, volunteers and prospective supporters.
