The Senior Business Analyst works with business partners within several business functions to align technology solutions with business strategies. The candidate will demonstrate an informed knowledge of a business area to resolve problems on an ongoing basis. Key responsibilities of this position include supporting several moderately complex business processes, working closely with users to understand their needs, translating those needs into technical and functional requirements documentation, and contributing to quality assurance and training initiatives.

Qualifications Basic Requirements:
6+ years of relevant technical or business experience
Bachelor's Degree in a related field
Experience creating requirements documentation, business processes documentation, data flow diagrams, technical and functional specifications using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Visio, and PowerPoint), and detailed testing plans.
Superb business analysis skills and proven experience leading planning sessions to implement process improvement, gathering, organizing, and interpreting business needs, rules, and processes and translating them into technical and functional requirements.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Ability to manage liaison relationships with business partners.
Ability to effectively collaborate with diverse constituencies including project sponsors, business stakeholders, technical stakeholders, and user communities.
Provides factual content to feasibility study for standard development projects and enhancements.
Expertise in quality assurance and application testing.
Strong organizational skills. Demonstrated ability to multitask, set goals and priorities and work effectively under pressure from multiple competing deadlines.
Proven ability to work independently and as a team member.
Excellent analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
Understanding of business process redesign.
Ability to maintain strict confidentiality with sensitive University data Preferred Qualifications:
Previous work experience in higher education.
Knowledge of MS Project or other project management tools.
