EKG Technician performs inpatient and outpatient 12 Lead electrocardiograph recordings, holter/event monitor placement/scanning as needed, and treadmill stress testing along with related documentation.
MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
High school graduate or GED
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
Previous patient care experience; on the job training; good verbal and written skills; basic clerical, computer data entry and math skills.
- Current BLS certification required from American Heart Association
- Basic EKG certification require within 6 months of hire date
- Certified Cardiographic Technician (CCT) or Certified Rhythm Analysis Technician (CRAT) from Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) within 18 months of starting this role with any Centura Health facility
Medium Work - exert/lift up to 50 lbs. force occasionally, and/or up to 20 lbs. frequently, and/or up to 10 lbs. constantly.
