Works with all facility management teams and human resources to support hospitals, employed physician groups
and the Corporate and support departments. Ensure that Payroll Technicians properly process payroll and all
reporting functions related to payroll. Collaborates in decision making structures and processes. Manages resources
to achieve established budgets and goals. Assures a high level of customer satisfaction. Provides support and assists with trouble-shooting issues in Lawson payroll system, Kronos time-keeping system, and maintains pay policies throughout Centura.
Minimum Education Requirements
High school diploma or GED
Minimum Experience Requirements
2 years of related experience.
Track record of successful supervisory experience.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications such as, Word, Excel, and Outlook; ability to create and maintain tracking spreadsheets.
Experience navigating web sites/portals, to include ADP, banks, state and federal.
Ability to draft and modify policies.
Certified Payroll Professional, preferred.
Position Duties (essential functions denoted with an * )
Supervises, motivates, educate, assists and coordinates the staff of this area. This includes day to day supervision and coaching of associates, conflict resolution, assignment of duties and scheduling of associates, disciplinary action, hiring and terminations. *
Develop key accountability metrics for team and department. *
Managed departmental documentation is accurate and up to date. *
Review documentation on an annual basis (at a minimum) to ensure it is updated appropriately.*
Develop and deliver training in partnership with payroll leadership to staff and end users. *
Assists in tax reporting and balancing. Assists in the processing of bi-weekly payroll. Assists in problem solving in all areas. *
Collaborates with payroll analyst and has detail involvement of all systems upgrades. *
Works cooperatively with all members of the organization. *
Ensures payroll staff customer service skills to remain at high level. *
Solid understanding of labor laws as well as tax laws. *
